Psudo Amethyst
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz and is a popular gemstone.
If it were not for its widespread availability, amethyst would be very expensive.
The name "amethyst" comes from the Greek and means "not drunken."
This was maybe due to a belief that amethyst would ward off the effects
of alcohol, but most likely the Greeks were referring to the
almost wine-like color of some stones that they may have encountered.
Its color is unparalleled, and even other, more expensive purple gemstones
are often compared to its color and beauty. Although it must always be
purple to be amethyst, it can and does have a wide range of purple shades. .

Psudo Ruby
The transparent red variety of corundum corundum (k?r?n`d?m), mineral,
aluminum oxide, Al2O3. Stones are blood red, the most valued tint being
that of "pigeon's blood. Star rubies, i.e., those that show an internal
star-shaped formation when cut in cabochon (with a rounded top), are rare.
Synthetic rubies are manufactured by the fusion of pure aluminum oxide
and the adition of Chromium oxide in amoounts to
provide the appropriate color.

Psudo Sapphier
Sapphire (Greek: sappheiros) is a gemstone variety of the mineral corundum,
an aluminium oxide (?-Al2O3), when it is a color other than red, in which case
the gem would instead be a ruby. Trace amounts of other elements such as iron,
titanium, or chromium can give corundum blue, yellow, pink, purple, orange,
or greenish color. Pink-orange corundum are also sapphires,
but are instead called padparadscha.

Agate "Blue"
grayish to milky-white agate, a variety of the silica mineral quartz
that contains opaque, dark-coloured inclusions whose branching forms
resemble ferns, moss, or other vegetation. The included materials, mainly
manganese and iron oxides, are of inorganic origin. Most moss agates are
found as fragments weathered from volcanic rocks. Long used for ornamental
purposes, they are obtained chiefly from India, Brazil, Uruguay,
central Europe, and the western United States. The best stones are cut in
flat or rounded form, and some are dyed to improve their colour.
Its properties are those of quartz (see silica mineral [table]).

Aventurine "Tumbeled"
Aventurine is a form of quartzite, characterized by its translucency
and the presence of platy mineral occlusions that give a shimmering or
glistening effect termed aventurescence. The most common color of
aventurine is green, but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue or gray.
Chrome-bearing fuchsite {a variety of muscovite mica} is the classic inclusion,
and gives a silvery green or blue sheen.

Hematite Black "Polished"
Hematite, also spelt hæmatite, is the mineral form of Iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3),
one of several iron oxides. Hematite crystallizes in the rhombohedral system,
and it has the same crystal structure as ilmenite and as corundum.
Hematite and ilmenite form a complete solid solution at temperatures above 950°C.
The Black specimens of Hematite are quite rare.

Jasper "Blue Dalmation"
Jasper is an opaque, impure variety of silica, usually red,
yellow or brown in color. This mineral breaks with a smooth surface,
and is used for ornamentation or as a gemstone. It can be highly polished
and is used for vases, seals, and at one time for snuff boxes. When the
colors are in stripes or bands, it is called striped or banded jasper.
Jaspilite is a banded iron formation rock that often has distinctive bands of jasper.
Jasper is basically chert which owes its red color to iron(III) inclusions.
The specific gravity of jasper is typically 2.5 to 2.9.[2]

Petrified Wood "Polished"
Petrofication involves the detailed replacement of the origional

Purpurite
Purpurite forms a series with the mineral heterosite.
Purpurite is the manganese rich end member and heterosite
is the iron rich end member. Purpurite is a very rare mineral
that would get much attention in the semi-precious stone
market due to its striking color, if it were not for this rarity.
Purpurite is an alteration product of an equally rare mineral
called lithiophyllite, LiMnPO4. The alteration takes place atom by
atom and actually forms what is called a pseudomorph or "false shape".
A pseudomorph is a mineral that has the shape of one mineral but has
a different chemistry and/or structure.

Turritella
Turritella agate is formed from silicified fossil Turritella shells.
Turritella are spiral marine gastropods having elongated, spiral
shells composed of many whorls. Similarly, coral, petrified wood and
other organic remains or porous rocks can also become agatized.
Agatized coral is often referred to as Petoskey stone or agate.
