Carborundum
Carborundum or Silicon-carbide exists in at least
70 crystalline forms. Alpha silicon carbide (?-SiC) is the most commonly
encountered polymorph; it is formed at temperatures greater than 2000 °C and
has a hexagonal crystal structure (similar to Wurtzite).
The beta modification (?-SiC), with a zinc blende crystal structure
(similar to diamond), is formed at temperatures below 2000 °C.

Dolomite
Dolomite is both a rock and a mineral named after the
famous French Geologist Dolomieu. Extensive deposits are
found in the Australian Dolomieu Alps. It is a limestone
heavy laden with magnesium carbonate. Because of its unique
qualities it is commonly used in the building of roads.

Fuchsite
A mineral of the mica group.
Sometimes it is referred to as a white mica or potash mica.
Physical properties include specific gravity 2.76–2.88, hardness on the Mohs scale 2–2.5,
and luster vitreous to pearly. Thin sheets are flexible and may be colorless,
translucent, yellow, brown, reddish, or green.
Muscovite occurs commonly in all the major rock types, in igneous rocks (granites,
pegmatites, and hydrothermal alteration products), in metamorphic rocks (slates, phyllites,
schists and gneisses), and in sedimentary rocks (sandstones and other clastic rocks).
As larger flakes, muscovite is used as an electrical insulator, both for its dielectric
properties and for its resistance to heat. Ground muscovite is used for fireproofing,
as an additive to paint to provide a sheen and for durability, as a filler, and for many
other applications.

Geodes (Small)
Geodes (Greek geoides, "earthlike") are geological rock formations
which occur in sedimentary and certain volcanic rocks. Geodes are
essentially rock cavities or vugs with internal crystal formations or
concentric banding. The exterior of the most common geodes is generally
limestone or a related rock, while the interior contains quartz crystals
and/or chalcedony deposits. Other geodes are completely filled with crystal
being solid all the way through. These types of geodes are called nodulesbr
has a sponge-like appearance.

Iceland Spar
Iceland spar, formerly known as Iceland crystal, is a transparent variety of calcite,
or crystallized calcium carbonate, originally brought from Iceland, and used in
demonstrating the polarization of light (see polarimetry). It occurs in large readily
cleavable crystals, easily divisible into rhombs, and is remarkable for its double refraction.
Historically, the phenomena of this crystal were studied at length by Christian Huygens
and Isaac Newton. Sir George Stokes also studied the phenomenon.

lustre; crystals usually long, columnar, often flattened and bladed,
with occasional stellate intergrowths; cleavage pinacoidal,

Lepidolite
The most common lithium mineral, basic potassium and lithium aluminosilicate;
a member of the common mica group. It is economically important as a major source
of lithium. Because it is one of the few minerals containing appreciable amounts
of rubidium, it is useful in determining geological age according to
strontium–rubidium ratios. Lepidolite occurs almost exclusively in granite pegmatites.

Pearlite.
Pearlite is a two-phased, lamellar (or layered) structure composed
of alternating layers of alpha-ferrite (88 wt%) and cementite (12%)
that occurs in some steels and cast irons. It forms by a eutectoid
reaction as austenite is slowly cooled below 727°C. The eutectoid
composition of Austenite is approximately 0.8% carbon [1]; steel with
less carbon content will contain a corresponding proportion of relatively pure
ferrite crystallites that do not participate in the eutectoid
reaction and cannot transform into pearlite.

Quartz Crystals "Naturel"
Pure quartz is colorless or white.
Quartz belongs to the rhombohedral crystal system.
The ideal crystal shape is a six-sided prism terminating with
six-sided pyramids at each end.In nature quartz crystals
are often twinned, distorted, or so intergrown with
adjacent crystals of quartz or other minerals as to only show
part of this shape, or to lack obvious crystal faces altogether
and appear massive. Well-formed crystals typically form in a 'bed'
that has unconstrained growth into a void, but because the crystals
must be attached at the other end to a matrix,
only one termination pyramid is present.

Sodalite
The sodalite group also contains hydroxysodalite
(hydroxide substitutes for chloride), nosean (containing sulfide and water),
and haüynite (containing sulfide and having calcium partially replacing sodium).
Nosean, found as gray, brown, or blue rounded grains containing inclusions, is a
common constituent of volcanic ejecta. Haüynite (haüyne) varies in color from white
or gray to green or blue. The blue variety is lazurite.

Sulfur
Sulfur or sulphur is the chemical element that has the atomic number 16.
It is denoted with the symbol S. It is an abundant multivalent non-metal.
Sulfur, in its native form, is a yellow crystalline solid. In nature,
it can be found as the pure element and as sulfide and sulfate minerals.
It is an essential element for life and is found in two amino acids, cysteine
and methionine. Its commercial uses are primarily in fertilizers,
but it is also widely used in black gunpowder, matches, insecticides and fungicides.
Elemental sulfur crystals are commonly sought after by mineral collectors for their
brightly colored polyhedron shapes. In nonscientific context it can also be referred
to as brimston
